An AI platform for legal teams — bringing a set of separate tools and ideas into one coherent product, designed well enough to move forward on. (In progress.)
ViaSema is building a platform for legal teams — an AI-powered tool to manage, generate, and analyze legal contracts.
They already had several tools built for individual clients, plus more ideas in the pipeline, and wanted to bring it all together into one coherent platform. The need was to turn a set of separate solutions and concepts into a single product with one consistent experience — designed well enough to move forward on.
A from-scratch design, built one piece at a time so it could scale and stay consistent.
Understood the users first Mapped the journey ViaSema wanted to create, and analyzed the journeys of the tools they’d already built — so the new platform learned from what existed instead of starting blind.
Wireframes and UI in parallel The first interface defined the core elements, which became the seed of the design system. Lead with the most finished screens, then the system and the prototype.
The interface designed for each module — the most finished, impressive screens first.
Separate tools and ideas, brought into a single coherent product.
Each new module built on the same foundation.

Components and rules created next to the UI, so the rest of the platform stays consistent and gets faster to build.
The platform isn’t built yet — but ViaSema is already using the mockups and prototype to communicate with investors and potential clients, turning a set of ideas into something concrete they can show and raise on before a line of it is built.
